Description
Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who specializes in mission critical turnkey solutions. Employing over 750 professionals and deliver leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centre’s, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently looking for an MEP Lead to join them on Data Centre Projects, in various European locations including Portugal and Madrid.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Manage the overall coordination and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health systems across the project lifecycle.
- Interface with design consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure MEP systems are fully coordinated and integrated with architectural and structural elements.
- Monitor installation works to ensure they are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and program milestones.
- Lead technical reviews, workshops, and clash detection processes using BIM and other coordination tools.
- Oversee MEP commissioning strategy, working closely with the commissioning team to ensure systems are tested, validated, and handed over in line with client requirements.
- Review and approve technical submittals, method statements, and test plans to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Support procurement of MEP packages, ensuring scopes are clearly defined and aligned with project needs.
- Ensure MEP works comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental standards, conducting regular site inspections and audits.
You will need:
- Relevant engineering qualification required.
- Over 5 years previous experience in an Engineering role with a proven record of coordinating and managing large projects.
- Data Centre experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A valid EU passport may be required for this role.
