Description

Our Client is the leading global engineering, construction and Project Management Company in the fields of Advanced Technology Facilities, Life Science & Chemicals, Energy & Environment Technologies and High-Tech Infrastructure is currently seeking an Electrical Quantity Surveyor  to be based in the Dublin area, Republic  Of Ireland.

This role will be responsible for the overall day to day management of the commercial and surveying aspects of the projects.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Registration and acknowledgement of all project enquires
  • Monitor and manage commercial aspects of the projects
  • Development and maintenance of cost reporting and forecasting for; Building works, Engineering works, design/ cost performance, preliminaries and increase of market cost and trends
  • Identify and scope risk to the project team
  • Develop alongside the project team
  • Manage and produce Bill of Quantities (BoQ)
  • Production of control documents as and when needed
  • Review with designers
  • Select/ agree subcontractor list
  • Produce monthly reports
  • Provide legal support with contract
  • Attend post tender and pre-qual interviews
  • Attend site meetings
  • Have an input with the supply chain and preferred suppliers

You will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • 5- 20 Years post graduate experience with contractor
  • Healthy track record of commercial projects
  • Negotiation experience
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Member of a recognised engineering institute, either; RICS or CIOB is advantageous
