Description

Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who specializes in mission critical turnkey solutions. Employing over 750 professionals and deliver leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centre’s, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently looking for a Tender Planner to join them on a project in Scotland, UK.

 

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Develop detailed tender programmes and construction methodologies to support bid submissions, ensuring they are realistic, competitive, and aligned with client requirements and project constraints.
  • Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to identify key project milestones, risks, sequencing requirements, and critical activities that influence programme development.
  • Collaborate with estimating, commercial, design, and operations teams to produce integrated tender submissions, providing planning expertise throughout the pre-construction process.
  • Prepare phasing, logistics, and construction sequencing proposals that demonstrate an efficient and deliverable approach to project execution.
  • Analyse project risks and opportunities during the tender stage, recommending programme optimisation and mitigation strategies to strengthen bid competitiveness.
  • Attend tender review meetings and client presentations where required, providing technical planning input and supporting the clarification of programme-related queries.
  • Maintain and develop tender planning templates, benchmarks, and planning standards to improve consistency, efficiency, and quality across bid submissions.
  • Support the transition from tender to project delivery by assisting project teams with programme handovers and the development of baseline construction programmes

 

You Will Need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Tender Planner, Planner, or similar planning role within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, with experience producing tender and pre-construction programmes.
  • A strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and project planning principles across a range of building or infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and manage competing tender deadlines.
