Description

Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor, employing over 2,000 people. They deliver cutting-edge construction solutions across sectors including Data Centres, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Technology, and Building Services. They are currently seeking a Senior Authorised Person / Energy Marshall to join their Data Centre project in Helsinki.

 

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Ensure the safe operation, isolation, and maintenance of electrical systems within the data centre, in line with safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Issue and manage Permits to Work (PTWs) for high-risk activities, ensuring strict compliance with procedures and safe systems of work.
  • Carry out formal inspections and audits of critical systems and ensure all statutory and technical documentation is up to date.
  • Liaise with engineering teams, sub-contractors, and facility managers to plan and coordinate project work with minimal risk to live services.
  • Act as the technical authority for assigned systems, providing expert guidance on isolation, switching schedules, and system restoration.
  • Maintain accurate records of operations & isolations activities in accordance with data centre standards and governance.
  • Respond to emergency situations or incidents, taking control of the affected systems and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Support training and competency assessments of engineers and technicians, ensuring compliance with Authorised Person training and certification standards.

 

You Will Need:

  • A trade background with a minimum of 10 years’ previous experience managing large installation projects and sub-contractors.
  • Completed high voltage Authorised person training course in last 2 years.
  • Completed low voltage Authorised person training course in last 2 years.
  • Data Centre experience is not required but desirable.
  • An EU passport is required for this role.
