Description

Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor, employing over 2,000 people. They deliver cutting-edge construction solutions across sectors including Data Centres, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Technology, and Building Services. They are currently seeking a Design Manager to join their major Data Centre project in Groningen, Netherlands.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the design team to deliver all architectural, structural, and MEP design elements in line with project requirements and client expectations.

  • Managing design development, coordination, and integration with construction and commissioning teams.

  • Ensuring design compliance with relevant codes, standards, and quality requirements.

  • Reviewing design documents, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and constructability.

  • Coordinating design changes and managing design-related risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.

 

You will need:

  • Degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, or related MEP discipline.

  • Proven experience managing design teams on large construction projects, ideally data centres.

  • Strong knowledge of design coordination tools and software.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and manage complex design processes.
